About Us

Our Mission Statement

Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might sin against you." Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. The purpose of the East Central District Bible Quizzing Program is to encourage young people to study God's Word by reading, memorizing, and applying God's Word in order to hide it in their hearts and minds for future use in their lives. It is an opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships of like-minded young people. We want young people to win by meeting Jesus, increase their knowledge of Jesus and finally to go out and serve Jesus.

Quizzing Events:

Districts:

On the second Saturday (It will be on an alternate Saturday if there are too many scheduling conflicts) of every month all the teams in our district get together for a morning of round robin quizzing. This time is not only for quizzing, but also to meet new friends and fellowship with old friends. Teams come from all over Ohio including: Troy, Greenville, Ottawa, Celina, Fairborn, Lima, Pettisville, Beavercreek and others. Also, many of the kids who participate in quizzing also come to other district events like 3DYC, Youth Kamp, District Youth All-Nighter, and the Ultimate 5th quarter party. Districts are a good way to compete, fellowship, Challenge you in your faith, and, always give the glory to God!

Invitationals:

Invitationals are similar to districts, however, an invitational is a quiz meet which includes teams from ALL our districts (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Canada). The teams spend the night at a host's house and then quiz the next day. During the Canada invitational the teams spend three nights at the host's house. Invitationals are another good way to meet kids from other states and even Canada.

Internationals:

Internationals (or quiz finals) is the last quizzing event for the year. Internationals is where the best of the best get to compete. This three day event also includes kids from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Canada.
